Case Study
H2Go
Together, Northern Gas Networks and Wales & West Utilities provide a safe and reliable gas supply to over 10 million homes and businesses in the UK. Over the next few years, they will trial hydrogen gas as a green alternative to replace the current natural gas energy system. As part of this, NGN and WWU required a device capable of detecting hydrogen leaks within the home.
The first of its kind, DefProc created H2Go: a safe, low-cost hydrogen detection sensor that is suitable for domestic use. We took the device from proof of concept to a fully functional prototype, and its design will be used as the blueprint for manufacturing in the future.
H2Go will allow consumers to safely and confidently embrace the use of greener fuels in their homes.
